Jennie Linden boasts an angelic face and fit figure that looks like it was sent from Heaven. Actually, the British babe hails from Sussex. Imagine an English version of a youthful Debbie Reynolds and that’s what this pint-sized starlet resembled during the 1960s. It’s no wonder she guest-starred on classic shows such as The Avengers (1964), Sherlock Holmes (1965) and The Saint (1966). In between, Jennie could be seen opposite Peter Cushing in the sci-fi adventure Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965). Through the years, she carved out a successful career on the big (Valentino) and small (Trainer, The Word) screens. Yet the established actress is best known for her revealing role as Ursula Brangwen in Women in Love (1969). Ken Russell’s Oscar-nominated version of D.H. Lawrence’s novel features Oliver Reed, Eleanor Bron, Sharon Gurney, and Jennie’s fine flesh! First, we get to see her bare breasts bobbing in the water when she and an equally naked Glenda Jackson go skinny-dipping. If that’s not erotic enough, the blonde ingénue frolics in the field with her leading man Alan Bates. The skintastic act lets us view her nude boobs! Since then, the pretty performer popped up in TV movies (The Corsican Brothers, A Deadly Game), miniseries (Little Lord Fauntleroy, Lillie, Menace Unseen), and theatrical releases (A Severed Head, Old Dracula). Unfortunately, you won’t see her in Sam Peckinpah’s R-rated thriller Straw Dogs (1971) since Jennie refused the part which went to Susan George. Suffice it to say, “by George, she didn’t get it.”
